YYC- Calgary’s Tribute to the Music of RUSH, pay tribute to the music of what is arguably Canada’s greatest musical export- RUSH. The band's name is a cheeky nod to the RUSH instrumental "YYZ", while also tipping the hat to YYC's Calgary roots.

Four of Calgary’s finest put on full display their collective drive and desire to recreate RUSH’s signature sound as painstakingly and faithfully as possible, note for note!

And of course, each of us is a RUSH superfan

I was attending a TLB charity event in September 2019 and I happened mention to Terry Lee Bharti how I would love to play in a RUSH tribute band. "Why don't you just start one?" he asked, to which I responded with numerous excuses: "too busy, don't know anyone interested... etc" and then the conversation drifted to a different subject and that was that.

The next day I soon found out I was tagged on a Facebook post from Terry Bharti on a Calgary musicians page asking for anyone interested to join a RUSH tribute to contact Christian Dallaire. Clearly we had passed the point of no return as I started getting messages from musicians interested in joining the project!

So we forged ahead and put the first line-up together but the day after our first show in March 2020, COVID shut down the planet and we were confined to our respective homes. That's when we decided to record videos

It wasn't until society resumed that we started playing live shows and we haven't looked back since!!!!
